Privacy policy

This is the personal portfolio of Mike Binder, published by Inner Spark Media, LLC at innerspark.studio. It is built to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what is collected, who processes it, the cookies the site uses, and the choices you have. Last updated: June 2026.

What I collect, and why

The only personal information this site collects is what you choose to send through the contact form: your name, email address, a subject, and your message. It is used for one purpose, to read and reply to you. There are no accounts, logins, or profiles, and the site does not ask for anything it does not need.

Service providers

A few third parties help run the site. Each receives only what its job requires.

  • EmailJS delivers contact-form submissions to my inbox. It processes the name, email, subject, and message you submit. See EmailJS's own privacy policy for how they handle data in transit.
  • Cloudflare hosts and serves the site over its global network. As part of delivering and protecting the site, it may process limited technical data such as your IP address and request details.
  • AccessSpark audits this site for accessibility on each release. It scans the site's own pages, not its visitors, and does not receive your personal data.
  • Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device and browser type). It runs only after you allow analytics, and is used to improve the site, never for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets no cookies to function. It uses Google Analytics, and the analytics cookies (such as _ga) are only ever set after you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie notice. If you decline, or do nothing, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is not loaded at all. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage so the notice does not reappear on every page, and you can change it any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer or by clearing your browser storage.

How long messages are kept

Messages you send are kept only as long as needed to correspond with you, and are deleted on request.

Your choices

You can ask what information of yours I hold, or ask me to delete a message you sent, at any time. Use the contact form and I will take care of it.

What this site does not do

  • It does not sell or rent your information, or share it for advertising.
  • It does not display my email address or phone number, to keep them away from scrapers. The form is the way to reach me.
  • It does not use analytics for advertising, and analytics load only with your consent.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
